After shaving her head for her role in Life in a Year, the star's buzz cut is slowly growing back in. It may be a good thing, as Cara told Glamour that shaving her hair off made her feel "like people read my mind more. I feel like people see my thoughts."
"I just had this moment where I was like, 'I need to shave my head! I can't think about what I'm going to do with my hair in this movie. I'm going to be in the desert. I'm a new mother. Let's just shave it.' The next day we did it. I can't even imagine doing it any other way," Theron told Entertainment Tonight.
After buzzing her strands for her role in Les Miserables back in 2012, Anne told Vulture, "I did it for a film, so it really wasn't about me and my security," adding, "I'm just so pleased with how I look, so I now quite like having short hair."
Cate loved shaving her hair for 2002's Heaven so much, she told The Daily Telegraph that she'd do it again. "Shaving off my hair is so liberating. I had to do it once for a film role, but I've done it periodically too," she said. "At school it was probably to rebel, but I cut my hair short a few years ago and I'm thinking about doing it again."
"I'm doing a movie in a couple of weeks called 'Underwater,' and I play a mechanical engineer that's working in an oil rig that's on the bottom of the ocean floor," Stewart explained in a recent interview. "So for me, I was like, 'It's practical! I mean, I'm not going to be able to have touch-ups once I put the helmet on. I must shave my head!'"
Nothing screamed "girl power" quite like Demi Moore's military-style buzzcut for G.I. Jane -- a look that eventually sparked her daughter Talulah Willis' own shaved hairstyle years later (with Moore lending a hand behind the cilppers!). "I actually watched G.I. Jane two days before I shaved my head. I don’t think I was 100 percent inspired by it, but I think it may have manifested the idea in my mind," Willis told Nylon.
Natalie can pull off any hairstyle -- which she made clear when she revealed her near-bald head for her role in V for Vendetta.
